Annapurna Bhandar: Documents and How to Apply
Everything you need to submit an Annapurna Bhandar Yojana application correctly the first time — documents, steps, and the mistakes that get forms rejected.
Documents checklist
- Aadhaar card: the primary ID. Name and date of birth must match across all documents — mismatches are the top rejection reason.
- Bank passbook / account details: account must be Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled, otherwise the ₹3,000 monthly transfer fails.
- Mobile number: linked to Aadhaar for OTP login on the portal.
- Ration card or family details: used for household verification.
- Photograph: recent passport-size, clear background.
The application, step by step
- Open socialregistry.wb.gov.in (our portal page has the link).
- Register with your mobile number and verify with the OTP.
- Select the Annapurna Bhandar application and fill in personal, household, and bank details exactly as on your Aadhaar.
- Upload scanned documents — legible, under the size limits shown on the form.
- Submit and save the application/reference number. You'll need it to track your status.
Mistakes to avoid
- Typos in bank account number or IFSC — a wrong digit means a failed transfer.
- Uploading blurry scans.
- Applying through "agents" who charge a fee — the process is free.
